Game Development
“VR Guns” is a project aimed at creating immersive gun handling mechanics in VR. Initially inspired by indie VR games like “Into the Radius,” my goal was to make the mechanics as realistic as possible. While I encountered significant challenges that temporarily paused development, I'm excited to showcase the current progress and the foundation that's been laid. This project has been a valuable learning experience, and I'm eager to revisit and refine this project in the future.
Load a gun by inserting a magazine and then
pulling the slide back to chamber a round.
Magazines can also be released by pressing the 'X' button on the right controller.
Fire the gun by squeezing the Trigger button. Upon firing,
shell casings are ejected and a short,
intense controller vibration is triggered.
When the last round is fired, the slide locks back
to indicate that the firearm is out of bullets.
Manually eject rounds by pulling the slide back
while a round is chambered.
If no round is chambered, pulling the slide will release the slide lock instead.
